David Green aka Verdi has been a directly involved in dance music for over 30 years. He was responsible for both organising and performing at seminal UK club night Cultural Vibes in Plymouth during the first half of the nineties and has been peddling his take on dance music the world over ever since.

Cultural Vibes started in 1991 at the Quay Club and ran until the middle of 1995 following an inspired venue change to the hallowed Warehouse, a vast pre war Art Deco Cinema.

During its record breaking run there it made DJ Magazines Top Ten Clubs in the UK for over 14 months. Throughout 1993 - 1995 over 2000 people came each and every Saturday night making Cultural Vibes one of the best supported underground clubs in the country during the absolute peak of club culture in the UK. During this time Verdi was booked to play his brand of dirty edged house music at clubs all over the UK and throughout Europe.

Following Cultural Vibes closure Dave spent 5 years in London from 1995-2001 where he continued to play regularly all over the Capital, countrywide and throughout Europe. During this period Verdi primarily played House, Electro and Techno as he found himself well served by great record distributors in London, unsurprisingly he collected prolifically and for a while became the only resident Dj @ Metalheadz never to play drum and bass (he played real Electro).

During his time in London he also found time to both manage & play at The Powerhaus, The Complex & The Blue Note Nightclubs for The Mean Fiddler Org and work with Detroit legend Derrick May’s ' EMAN8 Dj agency.

Following an extended round the world trip started in 2003 Dave emigrated to New Zealand in 2005 where he spent the next 13 years performing at every major venue in the country as well as spending 7 years producing a Saturday evening flagship Radio Show for the Capital Wellington’s premier underground FM station RadioActive.FM.

Verdi returned to the UK in 2018 & following the move became a co/owner of the Hanging Gardens nightclub in Plymouth playing yet again with a plethora of the UK finest talent along with organising & playing two Boiler Room events.

Still a vinyl only DJ, Verdi covers much musical ground with his live sets these days. While club gigs will see him play the very best in Deep House, Techno, Acid & Disco Hybrids, a 6hr Bar set could see him seamlessly jog between 50's Jazz, 70's Breaks, 80's oddball rarities & everything else in between.

The real common ground would bequality production which is all important to earn a place in the Verdi record box.
