This special event, hosted by Oakley School, is designed for young people with additional needs and is open to pupils from local special schools and colleges.
Event Details:
The event will take place at The Manor House, a local nightclub that will be closed to the public for the evening, ensuring a safe and exclusive space for our event. School staff will be on hand throughout the evening to supervise and support the young people. However, this event is also an opportunity for our young people to enjoy some independence, so while staff will be present to supervise, we will not be responsible for the actions of young people during the evening. The responsibility for the actions of young people will lie with the individual or their parent/carer.
It will be at the discretion of the school and venue staff to determine if a young person needs to leave the event, and in such cases, the parent or carer will be contacted.
The night will start at 6:00 p.m. for all young people with tickets, and we will be welcoming attendees aged 16 and up. Please review the following key details:
· Wristbands: Young people under the age of 18 will be given a wristband upon arrival. This wristband will identify them as under 18 and ensure they enjoy the event within the appropriate hours.
· Identification for Over 18s: Those over 18 will need to bring a form of identification (e.g., a driving license or passport) to confirm their age.
· Under 18s: Young people under 18 will be required to leave the event at 8:30 p.m. as the night will transition to an adult-only environment.
· Over 18s: From 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the event will continue for those over 18, and alcohol will be served in the downstairs bar during this time.
· Light Snacks: We’ll be serving light snacks such as hot dogs and pizza for all attendees to enjoy throughout the evening.
Tickets are available for purchase at: Special Events Tunbridge Wells — The Manor House. To maintain the privacy of the event, you will need a password to purchase tickets. The password is: winterwonderland.
Parents and carers are welcome to relax and mingle in the upstairs bar while the young people enjoy the festivities downstairs.
We hope this event provides a fun and safe environment for everyone to celebrate the season together.
