Review of Mr Ben & The Bens
On record, Mr Ben is essentially Ben Hall. On stage he is the charismatic, fop-haired frontman. On record (Life Drawing) the sound is that of sweet-voiced, well written pop. On stage they are a dynamic rock/pop band. Very enjoyable, and turns out that Ben knows all about 80's icons, the Housemartins and Devo.

Simone Marie spun us right round through deep house to Talk Talk and Roxy Music without missing a beat. We danced our socks off and the venue is perfect for such an intimate date with the best madam deejay. We thank you!

Loved this gig. Loved the venue. Loved the drinks. Loved the fella DJing. The only bad thing was the lighting for the act - it really was poor: like a bad kids' disco. Sort that and the gig would have been perfect.
