Comedy Fete presents The Comedy Show

We're back for a special final end of year Comedy Show. This will be taking place at Brentford FC Gtech Community Stadium in the superb surroundings of The Legends lounge! 

After the packed last show we return with Michael Akadiri taking over the hosting duties while Junior Booker is away sunning it up somewhere hot! Michael absolutely smashed the last show with us so we can't wait to have him back and take you all on a fun journey throughout the night. We are also excited to introduce three new amazing acts to us in Arielle Souma, Quincy & Wilson Milton. Also in this end of year fun packed special we bring back two quality acts in Prince Abdi who unfortunately couldn't make our last show but is someone who we highly regard so had to get him back for this one. Toju also returns after he absolutely smashed the closing set for our previous show and we had to get him back for his energy and stitch induced laughter .

🎙️ MICHAEL AKADIRI

Michael’s natural charm and cheeky, observational style has already seen him make an impact on the UK comedy scene. He’s the inaugural winner of the Komedia New Comedy Award and starred in the London finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2021 (BBC Three).

Michael’s burgeoning TV Career has seen him feature on the latest series Comedy Central LIVE (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2) and the aforementioned BBC Comedy Awards (BBC Three). He has collaborated with Channel 4, appearing in their Jokes Only series on their Facebook & TikTok channels. Michael has also written and performed original sketch content in partnership with LadBible UK.

His radio credits include the Capital Xtra’s Breakfast Show, BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club and stand-up on Radio 4’s Fred at the Stand.

As well as performing comedy, Michael works as a junior doctor in the NHS and is currently on a sabbatical from his surgical training. His medical background means he’s also in demand as a health commentator, appearing both on TV (BBC Two’s Newsnight) & Radio (Times Radio).

Michael’s 2022 Edinburgh Fringe debut was a success, with his show ‘No Scrubs’ selling out the run and culminated in a nomination for NextUp’s Biggest Award in Comedy. The subsequent UK tour in early 2023 was a hit and the critically acclaimed show is now available to view as a special on Michael’s YouTube channel.

Michael can be seen live, performing at the top comedy clubs in the country not limited to the Comedy Store, Glee Club and Komedia. He’s also a well sought after corporate act, whether performing or hosting and his previous clients include Apple UK, Spotify UK & NHS England.

Michael is currently preparing for his sophomore tour in 2024 and has other exciting projects in development. 

🎙️ ARIELLE SOUMA 

Arielle Souma, a French-Ivorian comedian, is an unapologetic force in the comedy world. Her authentic voice, commanding stage presence, and razor-sharp delivery make her a comedic powerhouse. Known for her hilariously blunt style, Arielle Souma is not for the faint of heart.

Awards and accolades have marked her journey, including being a nominee for the 2021 Leicester Comedy Award and the 2019 BBC Comedy Awards. In 2019, she also secured a finalist spot in the “Not So New Comedian of the Year” competition.

Arielle’s talent has shone through in various prestigious comedy contests. She was a finalist in the 2017 NATYS and the 2016 Frog & Bucket Manchester “World Series.” Additionally, she made her mark as a finalist in the highly competitive “So You Think You’re Funny” competition in 2016.

🎙️ PRINCE ABDI

Prince Abdi is a British stand up comedian, actor & writer.

His versatile and unique story telling makes him a feel good comedian and one to watch.

As well as being a regular on the UK comedy circuit , Prince Abdi has performed in various countries overseas including USA, Canada, Turkey, Holland, Northern Ireland and Kenya. Prince Has Supported the likes of Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Trevor Noah, Stephen K Amos, Jack Whitehall and Reg D Hunter.

Prince has written and starred in his own TV sketch for the BBC, Comedy Central and ITV as well as comedy and drama features.

Other TV credits include:
– BBC (The Wall), ITV (FHM stand up hero), BBC3 (Laughter shock), Comedy Central (The World Stands Up), Show me the funny (ITV1) Channel 4 Presents (C4).

As well as appearing many times on Channel 4s BALLS OF STEEL as the Militant Black Guy other TV credits include; BBC1 The Jack Dee Show BBC2 The Real McCoy BBC1 Stand up Show BBC2 Malai Monologues. ITV3 Dan and Dusty Show Channel 4 Get up and Stand up.

Toju lives and breathes his craft. once on the stage his talent shines as he draws the crowd in to engage in his high energy performances and makes sure his unique act is left long in their memory.

Apart from this, his talent as a script writer has been recognised, as he is currently working on a script for a possible TV series.

The mans talents are unbelievable, and he has earned the reputation as one of Britain's top comedians.

🎙️ WILSON MILTON

Wilson is a cheeky Londoner with a mixture of sharp observations, pin point accents and curveball one liners. Wilson is making a name for himself and is collecting a very impressive gig list across the UK. He is amongst the leading up and coming ones to watch comedians

🎧 Music & after party on the night hosted by CJ iDJ

CJ iDJ is an international DJ & producer who tours internationally at such destinations as Marbella & Ibiza as well as hosting his own acclaimed events in London and a solid booked out itinerary across the whole of the UK. CJ iDJ will be setting the mood before and during the show providing the sound effects and interacting with the comedians creating an electric atmosphere.

Please hang around after the comedy show as from roughly 11pm all chairs and tables will be taken away and a dance floor will be created for all guests to party the night away with CJ iDJ playing club classics and party bangers to get you moving on the dance floor and continue the good vibes Into the early hours of Sunday morning.
