The National Coal Mining Museum For England

Coal mining museum with a restored colliery, underground tours, pit ponies, a cafe and gift shop. The Museum is open daily from 10am until 5pm (closed 1st January and 24th-26th December annually). Parking and admission to the Museum and Underground Tours is free, tours run regularly from 10am until 3.15pm (start of February half-term to end of October half-term) or until 2.30pm (end of October half-term to start of February half-term).
