Review of Lichfield Big Family Day Out
We all went to walk in, and people were just leaving the venue saying dont bother going in, as prices £8 for a can of beer, food prices treble what you can buy outside the venue. Ok I know it's free and vendors have to pay for a plot, but OMG people are not mugs, family day out definitely NO family day rip off YES. We did not bother using our tickets and had a lovely family day out in town.

Review of Lichfield Big Family Day Out
First time I’ve ever been to anything like that and I have to say I had an amazing day….. prices were abit pricey 4 some of things like the glitter station and food but not enough to ruin the day

Review of Lichfield Big Family Day Out
Over all great day ... music was fantastic and great price for tickets for the family fun day
But not allowing water bottles, small snack or own food makes the day expensive when you have multiple kiddos on top of the fair rides .... its just undoable for some 2.50 for a small cup of pepsi max was shocking
That stopped ppl attending

Review of Lichfield Big Family Day Out
Everything was ridiculously expensive. It wasn't advertised anywhere that you couldn't take your own food and drink in. To buy drinks from the event owned places, you had to buy a wristband that cost £2 to activate. What a con. There wasn't a lot for the kids to do, other than a few basic fair rides. Glad I didn't have to pay to get in.

Review of Lichfield Big Family Day Out
It’s not that it wasn’t good what they had there the setup and the venue was good and worth looking at however for me I would prefer more activities for the kids I know it’s not much to get in but the entry then the £3 to £4 everytime for 2 mins entertainment when your child want to go on a fairground ride can get costly very quick there was a nice craft bus idea where you bought the crafts stuff then sat down and created together not enough of that for me or something that fills the child’s time abit better, they always feel more aimed at the selling alcohol and food rather than fun filled family fun which if that’s what your after then great, but what if your not. Where are the stands for simple tea and coffee ( there is a cafe at the park btw ahd a great playground but you have to go out the gates to go back in queue up etc not ideal with toddlers and attention spans just asking for tantrums )
So to summarize I love the overall idea I just feel they lean more toward catering for adults with abit of child friendly activities but not enough so not the best experience for me and my family but can be improved with simple things

Review of Lichfield Big Family Day Out
It's not a Family Day out. They could possibly get away with calling Day Festival but there is nothing to do for kids - it's just a big tent with tribute acts (aimed at the older generation), a few very expensive fairground rides and food. Nothing targeted towards kids or families. Glad I didn't pay to get in.

Review of Lichfield Big Family Day Out
I know that this event is sandwiched between 2 big events, the day before and the day after, so they're making the most of the marquee and pitch, but having to throw away good food as you're not even allowed to take water in, plus the extortionate prices of everything, meant we had to leave early. I was told 'yeah, well, you get in free', I tell you what, I wouldn't bloody pay! 1 marquee, food and rides, nothing else. I won't come again. The fuse festival is much more worth it!

Nowhere did it advertise that you couldn't take your own food or drink - not on the flyer, and not when getting tickets. It was mandatory to have special wristbands to pay for certain things - but you had to pay a charge to use your own money!

Review of Lichfield Big Family Day Out
Fair rides £5 each and soft drinks £2.50 each for a small cup from a bottle costing around £2 to buy !!!! You stated that last entry was 3pm for advanced tickets but were then letting people in way past this, saying that music was good, more tribute bands next week instead of the 80s karaoke where we deciding to leave !!! Also more tables needed loads of food outlets but only around ten tables ? Ticket prices were good though for £4
