King Charles II won’t let anyone touch his Crown Jewels in this royally, raucously funny comedy based on actual historical happenings.
Unpredictable maverick Colonel Blood has come up with his boldest plan yet: he will steal the Crown Jewels from the Tower of London, in plain sight. A task this momentous calls for a gang of misfits at his side, and everything should go to plan. But Charles II can’t afford to have his jewels snatched, and he’ll do anything to avoid a royal scandal…
The Crown Jewels play is a riotous comedy from BAFTA Award winner Simon Nye, whose credits include The Durrells and Men Behaving Badly, and is produced by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
