Tower Players present The Tunnellers

In the unrelenting violence of the First World War, an unlikely band of heroes tunnelled beneath the horror to try to help.

Tower Players presents a play by Cannock playwright Tom Allsopp, which brings to life this most unusual aspect of World War One. Though a work of fiction, the heroism and grit of the men of the tunnelling companies (many of whom came from the Cannock Chase area) and the courage of the families they left behind are all too real.
