Our monthly songwriter's night returns after 2 previous, incredible sessions.
This session features Townsend Brown, Thom Morecroft and Charlie Reader
Townsend Brown
Having been on the live music scene for over 20 years, Iain Morley (Townsend Brown) has honed his craft from fronting heavy rock bands, to being a part of Liverpool Americana heavyweights The Buffalo Riot, now making waves on the solo original music circuit, he's supported the likes of The Hanging Stars and Brother Brothers.
Fusing open tuning with a knack for beautiful melody and big choruses, Townsend's songs speak of love, loss and the state of the world whilst whistfully transporting you to a place within yourself and leave you wanting to find out more.
Thom Morecroft
Played on 6music and described by ex-editor of NME, Q, Mojo and Word Paul Du Noyer as “cheering and addictive”, Thom Morecroft is a scruffy cherub of a folk-pop singer-songwriter from Shrewsbury, precariously hidden away somewhere along Liverpool's Georgian Quarter.
Thom has been on the scene for a while, fusing his love of folk and country with powerful storytelling and an addictive voice to boot, he strives to entertain with catchy grooves and melodies.
Charlie Reader
Hailing from Liverpool, Charlie is a singer-songwriter and has recently captivated audiences, young and old, from all over the UK and Ireland. Gaining influences from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Mumford & Sons and Bob Dylan.
Starting out in 2017, he crafted an original and pleasantly full sound for just one man on stage. With an acoustic guitar at the helm of his performances, he also uses a kick drum and foot tambourine to supply an extra thump and drive to his energetic live set. His use of a vocal harmony pedal truly expands the vocal capabilities to a level expected from a full band. No loops, no pre-recordings, just live, passionate performances.
Book now for this intimate night of songs, storytelling, laughs and banter in the heart of beautiful market town, Frodsham and at the town's best loved venue, Kash 22.
