Review of Worcester Hot Air Balloon Festival
Many of the rides for kids were overpriced. I feel they would make more by making g it more affordable and having more kids on. It was great for us to have the extra events on - the bike stunts and monster trucks. The fact that they made the fireworks so much later than advertised was a heartbreak for many kids - you should indicate a range of time to set expectations. We walked to the event, as had the option, so no parking / traffic issues for us. Overall, we, as a family felt it was an improvement on last year but a few things need tweaking to make it great.

Communications of what was going on during the day was poor. Website went down, so couldn't check what time events were on, and couldn't see any signage stating what was on - so basically was a big field with some fairground rides on lots of food stalls. Viking village was quick walkthrough & dog show was ok but came across bit of date with antics Scotland/England etc - don't need the antics - just run as a dog show. So spent probably an hour - no sight of hot air balloons and no sign they were going to fly, so left.

Review of Worcester Hot Air Balloon Festival
Honestly, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We thought the ticket price was very good for the amount of entertainment received - and while we did find some of the pricing on food rather expensive, we also understand that costs have risen a lot and profit margins are difficult at best.
We thoroughly enjoyed the craft tent and got some beautiful little gifts from there - the amount of space was really lovely too, plenty for a picnic or to settle down and just watch the entertainment and the world go by. Honestly, bringing camping chairs was a really good idea and it made it all very comfortable!
Also, my mother was rather nervous getting on the Monster Truck ride, but they helped her up the steps, made sure she was all strapped in tight and was comfortable before we set off - and they looked after our belongings in the mean time. It's not something we've had the opportunity to do before so that was great fun.
The only downside to the day was some kids playing football at some goalposts down at the Balloon Arena. While everyone was perfectly content for them to have a kick-about and enjoy themselves, it all got a bit out of hand when the ball continued to hit people who were sat trying to enjoy their day and sit themselves where they hoped to see the balloons. So many times were they politely asked to try and keep the ball by the goals, but it was ultimately ignored and a few people did get hit on the head. I know last year said goal posts were not up, so perhaps next year they could be taken down again. Most people are happy for ball games and such, as were we, but it wasn't fair once people started to get hurt and arguments ensued; many people had to move into the larger crowds to try and get away from it which was unfortunate.
We would very much like to come again, in truth!

The events were amazing. Really loved the dog show. The prices of the food were extortionate. Luckily most people were prepared and took their own food. We had never been before. A tiny tray of chips was five pounds. A can of pop £2.50. The food vendors were so quiet I'm sure if their prices were reasonable they would have sold far more.. Good fair there but again £5 a ride how can families afford it in the current climate. Lots of lovely stalls there. Luckily the weather was beautiful. Granddaughter loved the circus that was hours of fun. Some really good activities to take part in. Sadly the cost of admittance , food and the fair spoilt the day

Monster truck mayhem alright, an absolute joke the whole day, brilliant stunt show from the bikes, shame the monster truck bits were a complete letdown.
Refunds should be given

Review of Worcester Hot Air Balloon Festival
It very much felt like an overpriced funfair. They didn't update us on the balloons, i understand it's too windy but keeping us realistically updated would have made a huge difference . Not enough to keep entertained without the balloons especially when there with kids as the fun fair was so expensive and they closed the circus skills around 5.30/6.
