Fantastic nostalgic evening full of banging tunes and a few surprises... who'd have thought Johnny Hates Jazz and Living In A Box (fronted by Kenny Thomas) would be so good - totally unexpected. Even though Human League were the headline act, the best act by far was Midge Ure - he was phenomenal, got the whole audience singing and dancing, and his voice has passed the test of time. Awesome evening rekindling so many happy memories.

What a fabulius evening. Olly was not only an amazing showman but prompt on stage at 8.30pm, courteous, friendly, funny and very entertaining. This was my 10 year olds Christmas present and she had a fantastic time (as did I) would definitely recommend going to see him to others. Finished on schedule at 10.15pm (as dictated by the OAT) Overall very good value for money and worthy of five stars. Thank you and well done Olly (and the Open Air theatre-another great evening)

About

Scarborough's Open Air Theatre is the largest in Europe and the original was built by Scarborough Corporation in the 1930s. Since we re-launched in 2010 after a £3.5 million pound refurbishment, our giant stage on the lake has seen artists as diverse as Dame Kiri Ti-Kanawa and Elton John to Olly Murs and JLS. Acts confirmed for 2013 include the legendary 'Status Quo', British songstress 'Leona Lewis', boy band 'The Wanted' and pop-rock band 'McFly' with further acts set to be announced in the next few weeks.
