Jurassic Dance Festival

Friday 29 - Sunday 31 August, 2025

About Jurassic Dance

1990s
Drum and Bass
House
Jungle
Old Skool
The family-friendly festival will invite mums and dads ready to revisit the club sounds of their youth in a safe, relaxed and welcoming setting in the heart of the Purbeck countryside. With capacity limited to 1,000, the festival will be a more relaxed, calmer environment than other larger events, aiming to encourage both dance-addicted teens and ex-clubbing parents to bring their kids to see how they did things in the old days. With a kid's zone and lots of activities for children over the course of the weekend, including DJ and dance workshops, mum and dad should be free to let their hair down like they did back in the day.

The main arena and bar are undercover so the music can continue whatever the weather. There is ample camping across the site so there's plenty of space for everyone. Campervans and small caravans are welcome in the campervan field and there is a designated field close to the arena for disabled ticket holders. There will be bars and street food stalls catering for all tastes and persuasions as well as merchandise stalls selling clothing, sunglasses, hats and the odd smiley badge or two.

Jurassic Dance FAQs

Jurassic Dance takes place Friday 29th - Sunday 31st August 2025.

Jurassic Dance is held at Wilkswood Farm in Swanage.

There are no cash machines on the festival site but there will be card payment facilities in the main bar and the majority of food and merchandise stalls.

If you bring a quantity of cash with you please keep it safe and secure and don’t keep all your cash and valuables in the same place.

The festival venue, Wilkswood Farm, is a working cattle farm for most of the year. Because broken glass would be an obvious danger to grazing animals, glass bottles are not permitted in the main arena or the camping areas. This is in line with the majority of UK music festivals. If you arrive at the camping area with glass bottles you will be requested to return them to your vehicle or decant them into suitable containers; failing this it will be confiscated at the entrance. Beer cans and plastic bottles are permitted but we request that you use either the waste bins provided or remove your litter to leave the site.

Unfortunately, because the festival site is part of a livestock farm, we cannot allow dogs anywhere on the festival site with the exception of registered guide dogs. However, there are several campsites in the area that allow dogs: check out Acton Field and Tom’s Field in Langton Matravers and Harmans Cross Campsite, all of which are close to the festival site.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept any other generators onsite other than those necessary for the live music, the sound systems and the caterers.
