Many boutique festivals are beginning to attract some big names whilst still managing to stay true to their roots. Representing a more authentic festival experience, most grassroots festivals have developed reputations over the years that some of the big festivals struggle to compete with.
Offering an eclectic experience free from the stresses of bigger festivals, grassroots and boutique festivals don't just concentrate on music but offer vast attractions taking in the arts, workshops, comedy and theatre, leading to a well rounded weekend of easygoing, exciting programming that leaves you wanting more.
Whereas large festivals sometimes feel a little soulless, these small festivals focus on their eccentricities often featuring local traditions and products whilst exposing the boutique festival goer to some interesting smaller acts and entertainment activities that would not normally be on the radar of larger festivals.
