North X Northwest - Vol 13

North X Northwest returns home to Stalybridge for our biggest party yet on Saturday October 3rd. With a massive line-up of all things heavy, wyrd and a bit psychedelic. We have bands, live electronic acts, DJs and MCs playing in a brand new location in the former Natwest building on Melbourne Street in the centre of Stalybridge.

🩷 Guiguisuisui ⿁⿁祟祟
We're honoured to welcome our headliners: Guiguisuisui ⿁⿁祟祟. Originating from North East China and now based in London this powerfully theatrical two-piece bring blistering psychedelic doom music mixed with themes of science fiction, Himalayan lore, and Chinese folk opera. Having toured extensively throughout South East Asia, including notable festival appearances at Purple Toad Festival in China and Playtime Music Festival, in Mongolia we're very excited to have them play their debut North X Northwest show with us here in Stalybridge. / FFO: Om, Sleep, Black Sabbath & Hawkwind.

💚 Binge
The two-headed math-rock leviathan: Binge will be playing in main support, This balaclava clad duo have been generating a lot of noise with their energetic performances creating a mesmerising wall of sound with just two instruments. Having performed at notable UK festivals including ArcTanGent and Kendal calling, We're excited to finally pin them down for a show! "Music made of healing that nonetheless professes destruction. 🖤 Deathbloom
We also have the phenomenal Deathbloom performing for us. This Manchester based, five-piece blend piercing noise and ethereal dream-like walls of sound with catchy melodies and immersive harmonies. With their latest double-EPs having just been released at the tail end of last year (Scarcity and Overflow) we know they're going to bring us something fresh and heavy to the event.

🩶 Gore Tech ft. NRB
Electronic music producer and DJ: Gore Tech will be performing his second appearance at NXNW this time with the vocal talents of rap artist and producer: NRB. Gaining notoriety through BBC Introducing, and noted as one of Steam Radio's 'one's to watch' in 2024, NRB has shown no slowing in his pace in recent years. A frequent resident at 'Druids of Dub' events at Manchester's Bag Factory in The two have also released music on EXE Project.

🤍 She The Throne
We're also very excited to have the exceptional talent of She The Throne return for their second time to NXNW. Opening the event this powerful duo creates a sonic labyrinth of harsh noise and ethereal vocal harmonies. Having toured almost constantly over the last few years we're honoured to have them join us at this special time of year. "She The Throne is a profound mediation between noise and music, soundscape and soundtrack, and abrasion and sublimity, imbuing meaning in each absent from either alone"- Sputnik Music.

🎛️ EXE Project
Closing off the event will be an extended DJ set from Manchester label mates, Krafty_EXE & Meecha. EXE Project (with their label imprint of the same name) release and play a unique mixture, Technoid, neurofunk and early 00s dark drum & bass music. Established here in Stalybridge in 2015 the label has signed a wealth of artists and producers from the US, Europe and beyond with all acts possessing that cyber-punk stylings and energy. / FFO: Current Value / Amon Tobin / Noisia

Along side all of this we'll have brand new craft beers provided by our amazing bar service team at The Juggernaut Brew Co' as well a host of awesome merch stalls and other special treats install.

The venue has limited capacity, No re-entry after 23:00. Please be aware strobe lighting will be in effect as well excessive sound levels so please ensure you bring ear protection.
