Manchester Reggae Festival returns for a multi-room festival at Manchester Academy 1,2 & Club Academy
ACCESS AREAS
Academy 1: The access area is a balcony at the rear of the venue with a clear glass barrier, with lift and stair access. If you require seating, this will be provided as a chair with a back.
Academy 2 and Club Academy: They have no specific viewing platforms/access areas. Depending on the space available, an area will be set out on the night at the front of the venue and explained to you on arrival. If you require seating, this will be provided primarily as a high stool or a chair with a back if otherwise requested.
We allow 1 guest to accompany you into the access area. If you are attending with more than 1 accompanying guest, their admission to the access area is subject to confirmation on the night of the event unless confirmed when applying for access.

Manchester Reggae Festival 2022 will take place on the Manchester Academy complex. The venues are located on the University campus, opposite the medical school and Holy Name church. Academy 1, Academy 2 and Club Academy are within the University Of Manchester Students' Union building. The venue address is: Oxford Road, Manchester.

How do you get to Manchester Reggae Festival?
Arriving by Train
Arriving at Victoria Station there are several options:
Either take a taxi
Or you could catch the link bus to Piccadilly Station and a train to Oxford Road Station
Or walking would take about 30 mins (1.9 miles)
Arriving at Piccadilly Station:
Either take a taxi
Or catch another train to Oxford Road Station
Or catch the tram into Piccadilly Gardens and then a bus in the 40s to the University
Or catch a number 147 Oxford Link bus to Manchester University (operates until 6.45pm)
Or walking would take about 25 mins (1.3 miles)
Arriving at Oxford Road Station:
Either take a taxi
Or walk out of the station taking steps on right or following the road, turn right onto Oxford Road and walk for 15 minutes to the Students' Union (0.9 miles)
Or find your way to Oxford Road as above, cross over and take a bus in front of the Palace Hotel there to the Students' Union
Arriving by car

Tickets for companions/personal assistants at no extra cost!
At the Manchester Academy, they aim to provide the best experience for their access customers. For this, they require a few details to ensure that they can provide for your requirements. Please e-mail info.su@manchester.ac.uk where they will send a form to be filled in. They require this information to be able to set up the access area to suit your requirements. Please email a required copy of one of the following supporting documents to process your access request. This is to fairly prioritise customers attending with disabilities.

If you do not have any of the above documentation, don’t worry! Each request is assessed on a case by-case basis and they are happy to discuss other forms of documentation and options with you. Please contact the venue on either info.su@manchester.ac.uk or 0161 275 2930 to discuss.
Customers are offered 1 x companion/personal assistant ticket at no extra cost for those who would otherwise be unable to attend the venue without assistance. You can apply for this by downloading and completing the Access Requirements Form. Please note that only 1 other person is allowed into the access area with you, if you require more than one personal assistant then please get in touch.
Once you have e-mailed the relevant documentation, they will respond within 1-3 working days. You will receive an email confirmation once you have been added to the access list.
How much are Manchester Reggae Festival tickets?
Tickets are on sale for £34.50+fees for a Standard Ticket and £60+fees for a VIP Golden Circle Ticket.
Are pre-payment plan tickets available?
Payment Plan tickets are not available for this event.
What happens If I bought a ticket and cannot attend?
Unfortunately we can’t issue you with a refund if you can’t make the event due to work commitments or your mates have dropped out. In these circumstances, we advise passing on your tickets privately to avoid losing out on the money spent.
Refunds can only be offered if the event is cancelled or postponed, as agreed upon purchase.
