Manchester Pride 2025

Manchester Pride is a world-leading festival of LGBTQ+ culture. Campaigning for LGBTQ+ equality and a festival that celebrates all aspects of the LGBTQ+ life and culture. Focusing on queer liberation, Manchester pride is decorated with a range of events that usually takes place annually over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Friday the 22nd to Monday the 25th of August 2025. 

You can expect a massive parade that will have an array of the LGBTQ+ community and allies going through the streets of Manchester's city centre. You can also expect to find a wide range of events that highlight the essence of LGBTQ+ culture, including a Gay Village Party, a brand new edition Mardi Gras, and a Candlelight Virgil.

The Manchester Pride parade takes place at 12pm in the afternoon and runs all afternoon. From there, you can continue the celebrations in the Gay Village, which starts from 5 pm till late.

Manchester Pride takes place in a load of different locations across Greater Manchester. The parade is located in the heart of Manchester city centre, starting at Liverpool Road which goes all through the streets via Deansgate. Towards the end of the parade, the celebrations will head to Canal Street, where you’ll be able to enjoy the Gay Village Party. Manchester Pride will also be located at Depot Mayfield this year for Mardi Gras - one of Manchester’s leading event spaces.

During the Manchester Pride festival, there will be temporary, reasonable adjustments to the area to provide access to the event site and staged event areas. However, there may be some limitations and restrictions to making the Gay Village Party event site fully accessible due to the nature of the location of the event.

Manchester Pride is a charity which is run by Pride Events Ltd, who organises Manchester Pride events. 

Manchester Pride always has such a huge lineup, including a range of entertainment from drags queens to some huge homegrown and international talent spit across the days of Manchester Pride. This year, Manchester Pride will be seeing the likes of American acting legend Billy Porter, Leigh-Ann, Olly Alexander, drag icon Danny Beard, alongside B*Witched, Samantha Mumba, Louisa Johnson, Ghetto Fabulous, Tulisa, Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge, and so many more!

Manchester Pride is a festival made up of many events, most of which are free. However, there will be ticketed events as part of the celebrations (Mardi Gras and the Gay Village Party), for which you’ll need to buy a ticket to gain entry.

Manchester Pride is a charity that has no shareholders. It generates its income in many ways, including donations, grants and income, which are given to them by its wholly owned and not-for-profit trading company, Manchester Pride Events Ltd. When it comes to the proceeding,s they are then always redistributed back into Manchester Pride’s charity partners and their grassroots community groups. It, however, does not cover the running costs of the charity.
