This New Year's Eve sees mega club brands Innovation, Devotion, Warning, Epidemik and Raise The Roof come together for the annual United As One NYE event at London’s Fire complex.

With five rooms of Drum & Bass, Jungle, Old Skool, House & UKG, this is one of the capital's biggest NYE gatherings. From old legends to fresh new talents there are tens and tens of DJs appearing, including Hype, Grooverider, Sub Zero, Ratpakc, N B Market and so many more.

We caught up with Hype for a catch up before the big night.

Hi Hype, how are you? Where in the world are you right now?

I’m in London, just before flying to the USA for a mini tour.

How has the last year been for you?

Another great year spreading drum and bass around the globe.

You are, for many many people, a legend in the music business. What do you put your success down to, and why do you think you, as a DJ and the labels you run, mean so much for so many people?

I work hard and have a big passion for what I do, and I ain't a bad DJ either! (laughs) I am flattered that people love what I do, but you need to ask them why they like me so much… I am just happy they like me as I love them!

We’re talking Innovation New Year’s Eve. Inno has been massive in the party scene for a long time. Tell us about your Innovation experiences. Any particular dates stand out?

My fave has to be Innovation In The Sun, and it gets bigger every year. The Playaz night there is always a great night.

What can people expect at this year’s Innovation NYE?

A great night of drum and bass.

The event promises five different rooms of music. If you have time, is there anyone you’re looking forward to seeing?

I won't have time as I have three other events that night around the country… it's busy, busy, busy when ya me.

What are your thoughts on drum & bass going into 2012?

2012 is looking good already, plus I am looking to putting on some Playaznights around the country, as well as some great music from my labels.

What’s next for Hype?

I am currently trying to produce again. I have been working with Potential Badboy and hope to put more time into production and get some releases of my own out again. It's been too long

Finally, do you have any messages for the readers, and any shouts you’d like to kick?

Thanks to everyone that supports me - catch me on Kiss Radio every Weds night 12-1.
