Easter is just around the corner and this year we’ve been blessed with a four day weekend! Now, we don’t get a four day weekend very often, so it only makes sense that we all make the most of it. Naturally, an Easter family day out will be the go-to. That way, we can get out and about, have a few laughs and grab some grub but as a family, honouring Easter and just having a cracking time together and making memories. So here are some of the best family days out for Easter.
When: Saturday 2nd - Saturday 16th April
Where: Almond Valley Heritage Trust, Livingston, Edinburgh
Almond Valley Heritage Trust - a beautiful green space with a museum, farm animals, a river and children's play areas - is welcoming families to come and join their Easter-themed activities. Littluns can meet baby animals, hunt for eggs, watch the plastic duck race, ride a train and tractor, and unleash their creative side in the crafts area. You don’t get more Easter-y than that!

Easter Egg Hunt at Winwick Hall
When: Saturday 16th April
Where: Winwick Hall Winwick, Northamptonshire, Northampton
When celebrating holidays, we tend to stay indoors. And that’s fair enough at Christmas when it’s -2 outside and you’ve got heating, a table full of food and presents inside. But Easter is when the weather finally starts turning around. So it’s the perfect excuse to get outside. Winwick Hall has a beautiful green space and gardens for the chocolate Easter egg hunt and a tea room for recharging and enjoying light refreshments. A simple but fun way to get some fresh air and have an eggcellent time! We’ll see ourselves out.
