Chow Down returns to Joshua Brooks on October 6th after a well earned summer break, and to mark the occasion they've pulled in the help of one of their exciting headline acts to date; Joy Orbison
The man needs no introduction but we're still going to give him one. Mr. O is the man behind Hyph Mngo, the huge track which came out on Hotflush and was voted best track of 2009 by FACT magazine. Since then he has gone on to establish his own label, Doldrums, with his friend Impey and released 2 EPs on it so far including the sublime Wade In. As well as this, Orbison has forthcoming solo work on Swamp81 as well as the monster Swims lined up, due to be released with Boddika. You get the picture, this is a big deal.
Supporting Joy Orbison with a live AV set is Damu, who Chow Down first put on back in March when he blew the roof off the place. Since then he has released on Silverback and Local Action and received support from some absolutely massive DJs such as Brodinski, Mary Anne Hobbs, Jackmaster, Sinden, Rob Da Bank and Elijah (Butterz).
