So this is pretty big news. The mighty house duo Deep Dish, one of the most lauded teams in the business, make a welcome return to the UK for the first time in over six years when they hit Electric Brixton for a five hour set on October 25th.
Both Dubfire and Sharam have been regular features in the progression of underground dance music since back in 1994, with both their productions, remixes and record labels leading to some of the most enduring releases in the business.
Records like their all conquering remixes of De'Lacy's 'Hideaway' and Sandy B's 'Make The World Go Round' will be forever regarded as classics, and rightly so.
Their lauded Yoshitoshi label has been responsible for giving a home to the finest in percussive, groove filled house, and soulful sophistication, championed by the likes of John Digweed, Nick Warren, Sasha and Steve Lawler for its marrying of classic house tropes with cutting edge dancefloor know-how.
Recent times have seen Ali Shirazinia make a serious fuss in the techno and house world as Dubfire, with his legendary live sets showcasing an array of thundering beats and tunnelling basslines that bag him regular appearances at some of the worlds biggest temples of techno. See him in action at Time Warp above to see what we mean.
Sharam too has enjoyed unending success with his forays into no nonsense house music, with his most recent release on Seth Troxler's brand new Play It Say It imprint making all kinds of waves with its swirling low end bass line, driving house sensibilities and brilliantly placed Manfred Mann sample.
The two major players teaming up again on British soil then is something that the UK's discerning house community has been after for a while. Expect to witness their downright superiority as selectors when they hit Brixton in October, highlighting again why the Deep Dish names enjoys such widespread reverence.
