Festival Focus: Festivals with Luxury Showers

Personal hygiene is not very often a term synonymous with the festival experience. Usually a bag full of baby wipes, a shed load of deoderant, and perhaps some dry shampoo if you’re feeling fancy is about as hygenic as things are going to get. Showering is usually left until the arrival back home, when a cleansing of epic proportions takes places, the experience of which can border on the spiritual.

This is clearly not for everyone though, and as part of Skiddle’s festival focus, we’ve targeted festivals with luxury showers, a welcome addition to the festival experience in anyone’s books.

Using our Festival Finder, we have collated all the festivals with luxury showers, and put a few highlights below.

Scotland’s picturesque Rock Ness is one such highlight. With proceedings taking place on the shores of Scotland’s iconic Loch, Rock Ness is the prestigious winner of NME’s small festival of the year 2 years in a row, and a festival full of character, great atmosphere, and a wide range of entertainment. The ever exuberant Scottish atmosphere is a joy to be a part of. With the famous Scottish weather though tending to play a part, the prospect of having a luxurious shower to wash away the excesses of mud and festival muck is a welcome prospect! Rockness also features luxury toilets, for those of you who appreciate only the best toilets at festivals!

The high octane Nass Festival also has this wonderful feature. The Somerset festival stars exploits in BMXing and skating, as well as an action packed dubstep, drum ‘n’ bass, punk and rock. If any festival is guaranteed to get the sweat pouring it’s Nass. With luxurious showers on the premises though, you can have no worries about giving it hell in the mosh pit, knowing you can wash, refresh, and prepare yourself for even more high tempo fun the next day. As with Rockness, Nass Festival has luxury toilets as well, making a welcome change to the usual standard of toilets at festivals.

One of our favourite festivals - Bestival is fast becoming the country’s best loved large festival, and with good reason. Spanning a massive 4 days of the best gigs, a stunning funfair, movie screenings in the woods, and so much more, the festival is an epic holiday, and one that is impossible not to be totally entertained at. Luxury showering has been lovingly included, to make your holiday/festival experience just that bit more satisfying.
