Five must see acts at Electric Elephant 2014

If you're headed off to the Adriatic Coast for this year's Electric Elephant Festival, here's a couple of acts we'd recommend going to see.

For those in need of a relaxing holiday but equally as in need of a lively party, Electric Elephant is exactly what the doctor ordered. If you want a taste of Croatia without the mega prices, Electric Elephant offers the perfect mix between blissful recreation and festival fun.

Electric Elephant takes place on 10th-14th of July (conveniently timed the week after Garden Festival for those after a longer stay) and takes place at the overwhelmingly picturesque Garden in Tisno. Sparkling water frames the beach during the day and come the evening sparkling lights take its place as the festival comes to life.

The line up is dynamic and unprecedented, you would genuinely be in for a treat if you went to see any of the names on the bill, but here's our top picks...

Justin Robertson

An artist with undeniable class. His pioneering role in the progression of electronic music and his ability to keep his music and sets current make him one of the most relevant DJs around. Robertson has had his foot firmly in the door of the scene for over 23 years, making him a true legend. His sets are always filled with grooves and a hint of whatever he fancies (you can listen to one of his mixes below).

Motor City Drum Ensemble

Motor City Drum Ensemble, AKA Danilo Plessow is an underground artist with an enticing twist. Forget boring beats and non-distinctive sounds, his own productions have made plenty of waves and his open mind for music is glaringly apparent. It's near impossible not to be two-stepping and fist pumping when this guy is behind the decks.

Horse Meat Disco

Disco's what you want? Well it's disco that you'll get with these guys. The quartet have been spinning boogie classics for over a decade and have an incredible knack of getting any crowd smiling. Under the stars in Tisno is as good a place as any to lose yourself in one of their sets.

Prosumer

If you're looking for slightly heavier house, look no further than Ostgut Ton signed Prosumer. He's held a residency at Panorama Bar in Berlin for a number of years now, an incredible achievement in itself. He's been heavily influenced by Chicago and Detroit roots, which fully reflects in his sound (check out his Boiler Room above).

Tom Findlay

As one half of Groove Armada, Findlay needs little introduction. Groove Armada are one of the world's best loved and biggest selling dance acts, and the success stems from Findlay's ability to process and create music from all genres of music. His passion and belief in the music he plays results in massively energetic sets.
