Sometimes the best things come from the most unlikely of sources. This has always been the case with UK music. Whether it is Burnage, Colchester or Lowestoft, the UK has a habit of creating great music in the most unlikely of settings. Perhaps it's that British phenomenon where a lack of other opportunities creates music packed with ideas and energy. But, whatever the reason, it's likely that a new town will be added to this list. Dunstable, Bedfordshire: home of the Imperial Vipers.

The UK five piece, comprising of Ash Simmons (Vocals), Wevs (Guitars), Corky (Guitars), Bim (Bass), Lofty (Drums), formed in 2003 after songwriter Wevs returned from six months surfing the east coast of Australia and decided that his love of rock n roll was the only thing that could inspire him. The band set out to do things there own way with a nod to the greats such as Led Zep, AC/DC and Soundgarden but with the punk rock spirit of bands such Guns N Roses, MC5 and The Stooges. This determinati on to do things their own way saw the band tour relentlessly across the UK and Europe. Without even a record deal they played with the likes of Goldie Lookin' Chain and Supergrass, headlined the Kone Funboard Festival in front of 10,000 peopleat Paris' Bercy stadium and hooked up with legendary rock producer Stuart Epps (Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, Elton John, Oasis, Robbie Williams). A deal soon followed with Eminence Recordings.

Following the release of their debut single 'Kick A Hole' in September, limited edition single 'Promised Land' in November (which entered the rock single charts at No 9 as highest new entry - and stayed in the Top 40 for 5 weeks), single 'Jewels' in March and a 52 date UK tour, playing with the likes of Towers Of London, Marky Ramone, Dogs D¹Amour and We Are Scientists, the band are set to release the debut album.

'Searching: Falling: Silence' is the perfect showcase for the Vipers varied influences. From Clash tinged GnR of 'Jewels' to the powerful and emotive hard rock of 'The Dirt (Part 2)', from the anthemic debut single 'Kick A Hole' to the Soundgarden styled alternative drive of 'Searching, Falling, Silence', from the punk ska of 'In Chains' to loose southern rock riffing of 'My Number', the Vipers meld a contemporary meets classic sound into a powerful and assured debut album.

The Imperial Vipers will be doing what they do best in the run up to the release of the album taking to the road on the 9th February for a 29 date UK tour, visiting everywhere from Orkney to Plymouth and in between! The tour runs to the start of May. In the words of a Kerrang live review 'A surprisingly authentic and shit kicking rock n roll band' have the potential to cause serious structural damage'.
