Lady Gaga was left in tears after props and costumes for her debut 'Monster Ball' UK show went missing.
The 'Bad Romance' singer arrived at the Manchester Evening News Arena last night (18.02.10) only to discover various items for her show -redesigned from scratch since the US leg of the same tour - were lost in transit.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Right up to the wire there was mad panic. Gaga lived up to her name when she arrived to find half of her costumes had not arrived and pieces of the set were missing.
"She has spent over a million pounds on this new stage show, so she was furious that everything wasn't in place."
Despite some props for the show not arriving from the warehouse where they were built until 6pm and rehearsals happening until half an hour before stage time, the show went ahead as planned and included 15 costume changes from Gaga.
The show - which has a narrative theme of Gaga going to a ball in New York, but losing her friends along the way - is split into four acts, City, Subway, Forest and the Monster's Ball.
None of the same props or costumes from the earlier part of the tour were used.
During the show she told fans: "We've been doing another show in the US but I got very bored and threw it away. Some girls like glass slippers and I like glass subways."
The 'Telephone' singer's set included a green Rolls Royce car and during the track 'Speechless' she set her piano on fire.
Costumes worn by Gaga during the show included a PVC nun outfit, an octopus, a black and white stripey suit and several sequinned bodysuits.
