MIXMAG 's LEEDS

Easter Thursday 9th April

@ MyHouse, Leeds

10pm - 5am

On Thursday 9th April, and after taking the country by storm since late 2008, the Mixmag tour will be arriving in Leeds to join forces with two of the cities biggest brands, Filth and Ketoloco. Housed under one of the cities biggest and best venues, My House (formerly Stinkys Peephouse), they have roped in the unquestionably cool style of Berlin based DJ duo, Tiefschwarz, for a night of quality German tech, the finest house around, and no doubt a decent sized portion of debauchery

Already having held parties that have hosted the likes of Justice, Annie Mac and even Friendly Fires, Mixmag are getting involved in Leeds thriving underground scene with a darker, deeper house flavour sure to thrill the cities musically educated, techno hungry clubbers.

Tiefschwarz are two brothers hailing from Stuttgart, who took the turn into production after years spent DJing and putting on parties in and around Germany. After their early releases were picked up by deep house heavyweight, Derrick Carter, and released on his Classic Recordings label, their career took a steep upturn. After regularly appearing at Europes coolest, most obscure venues and festivals, and faultlessly delivering mind twisting, crowd bending tracks, they have carved out a unique and instantly recognisable sound, always associated with the coolest, most underground branch of the house world. Synonymous with stay on your feet til the lights go up sets, heart stopping bass lines and spine tingling mixes, Tiefschwarz will no doubt bring Leeds to its knees on one of the most unmissable nights of 2009 so far.

Support on the night comes in the form of purveyors of dirty, jackin house and full-scale f**ked up party madness, Filth. Residents Eddi Zanetti, Dale Castell and main man Danny Savage are on hand to serve up the most disgusting house around, impossible to stand still too, and ready to bend minds from the bar to the terrace, this is one room sure to make sure you misplace your marbles

Needing no introduction are the Ketoloco boys. Epitomising the vibe in the city over the last few years, this group of talented chancers took their wonky events worldwide after their infamous years spent in the basement of their student house. Always filled with the biggest tunes and naughtiest antics, their parties are as notorious for the crazy goings on as the faultless sets and super star guest DJs they churn out with ease.

With more DJs getting involved from Leeds Dirty Disco, Kissdafunk and Panorama nights, as well as support from the DownnDirty DJs and even a Silent Disco chucking some funk into the mix on the amazing new heated outdoor terrace, plus many many more, all signs point to a legendary night for the UKs underground partying capital, Leeds.
