Returning to Bristol's thriving nightlife will be In:Motion - a clubnight that will enjoy a weekly residency at hallowed rave den Motion. Reconvening on October 4th, the the fifth season of the Bristolian rave venture gets things underway in formidable fashion, hooking in an enviable line up of house, bass and tech dons primed to furnish Motion's three rooms with the finest sounds in underground dance music.
The main warehouse will witness the arrival of legendary double team Groove Armada, with support coming from Redlight, Maribou State and GotSome. The second room will be hosted by Breach's imprint Naked naked, and features Midland (hear his recent hit 'Before We Leave' above), Lorca, Cinnaman and of course Breach himself. Expect plenty of uncompromising, bass heavy tech sounds from the Naked Naked crew.
Way Out West main man Jody Wisternoff headlines room three, which will also welcome orchestral breaks pioneers Hybrid and Stuart Wilkinson. Get your tickets here, or at the bottom of the article.
Even the briefest looks ahead at their autumn run of dates show that the stature of their opening night will be no mere flash in the pan. In:Motion presents Apex on October 10th, with the likes of Skream, Skream and Will Saul heading things up (get your tickets here), whilst the following week sees a hefty representative of Loefah's Swamp 81 imprint take centre stage.
Usual suspects Zed Bias (check his Boiler Room set above), Paleman, Mickey Pearce, Chunky and Benton all flank Loefah himself in the main room, with the night also being Zed Bias' last DJ set in Bristol for the foreseeable future. Room two will also star The Streets mastermind Mike Skinner, DJ Q and Cause & Affect. Get your tickets here.
Saturday 25th of October welcomes the all conquering blog-turned-label Subsoul, which in turn invites a raft of deep house and bass dons to take charge of proceedings. Shadow Child, Friend Within, Kidnap Kid and Gotsome are amongst the major players entrusted with delivering a heady concoction of modern house flavours, whilst room two witnesses sets from Shift K3y, Wayward and Codec as well as many more. Get your tickets here.
Finally In:Motion tackles Halloween by creating a Carnival of the Dead on Friday 31st October, which boasts a line up guaranteed to give you goosebumps. Amongst the wealth of drum n bass demons, garage ghouls and hip hop heretics will be the likes of Shy FX, Dub Phizix, Sam Binga and Chimpo, all well versed in the art of high tempo, bass heavy dance music.
Grandmaster Flash and Dead Prez will be joining in on the fun too, whilst attendees can also look forward to a few moments of comedy gold and killer garage from the Kurupt FM crew (find out what happened when they took over the 1Xtra Breakfast Show above), as well as an exquisite two hour history set from UKG 'G' Matt Jam Lamont. Get your tickets here.
That's all just the tip of the iceberg too, check out In:Motion's forthcoming autumn line up in full here.
