Noel Gallagher gets Courteeners

Noel Gallagher's support acts at his upcoming Teenage Cancer Trust shows have been announced.

The former Oasis guitarist will be joined by fellow Manchester rockers The Courteeners on March 25, while rapper-and-singer Plan B will open for the 'Falling Down' singer the following day (26.03.10).

The support acts for the other performers have also been revealed.

Them Crooked Vultures - a super-group consisting of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age star Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones - will be joined at their gig by Little Fish.

Other acts announced include These New Puritans who join Suede on March 24 and the Mystery Jets who will precede Arctic Monkeys on March 27.

The Who - who started the charity 10 years ago - close the series of concerts on March 30 and will be accompanied by Sweet Billy Pilgrim.

The Teenage Cancer Trust concerts take place at London's Royal Albert Hall and kick off with Them Crooked Vultures on March 22.

Noel's two nights will be the first shows he has played since walking away from Oasis last August following a huge bust-up with his brother Liam.

Speaking about the charity - which aims to provide specialist teenage cancer units at UK hospitals - Noel said: "Ten years ago I got a call from Roger Daltrey asking me to join him for the first ever concert for the charity.

"Since then I've been honoured to support this amazing charity. I've had some of the best nights I've ever had on a UK stage."
