The UK Festival Awards is set to honour Peter Gabriel with the Outstanding Achievement gong at this year's ceremony.

The UK Festival Awards has announced that Peter Gabriel will be this year's recipient of the Outstanding Contribution award. The legendary musician, famed for his work as part of Genesis and eleven solo studio albums gets the nod through his founding of the country's most treasured world music festivals - WOMAD. He discusses the festival in the video below.
Presenting over 170 festivals in more than 30 countries, WOMAD remains the most successful and highly regarded world music festival on the planet. The festival has spawned Gabriel's record company Real World Records, the WOMAD foundation, and has undertaken pioneering work surrounding human rights.
The awards ceremony gets under way at London's The Roundhouse on November 26th.
