With Halloween fast approaching, Fear-Fest have seen an opportunity to combine the two much loved British pastimes and create an extraordinary one off bash on the 26th October. Three full arenas of music will be situated in a strange science adventure area in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, with Halloween trappings galore engulfing the locale. Boasting high end production values that include exquisitely eerie lighting and sound, as well as a fear house, ghost train, dodgems, demon dancers, fear shows, zombies and plenty more scares throughout the night.
The stage is set then for an unparalleled Halloween hoedown, made more exciting form the line up, which boasts some of the biggest stars working in urban, bass, and house music.
First up is Bass Music Awards nominee for best DJ - B.Traits. The Canadian born devourer of drum n bass and dubstep has taken the dance music world by storm in recent times. Having become a member of Shy FX Digital Soundboy krew as far back as 2006, B.Traits has been honing a DJing style that traverses genre, taking in everything from jungle to hip hop in her sets, making her one of the most skillful and mesmerizing DJs on the circuit.
Alongside B.traits will be Mercury award winning Ms Dynamite, who is primed up for a fierce live performance. She will be giving her incredible vocal dexterities to tracks like 'Gold Dust' by DJ Fresh, 'Wile Out' by DJ Zinc, and 'What You Talkin' About' by Redlight amongst plenty of other material. Kraftek’s Josh Butler will also be getting in on the action. With his material drawing on influences from the likes of Kerri Chandler to King Tubby, Josh Butler’s finely tuned house sound has made him a favourite with the likes of Hector Couto and Darius Syrossian, and made him in demand everywhere from Secret Garden Party in Oxfordshire to Ibiza.
Hannah Wants & Lorenzo - Dappy
Hannah Wants (who’s track Dappy is nominated for Best Single in the Bass Music Awards) adds the unending list of class acts at Fear-Fest. Perhaps the queen of bass music in the UK, the Birmingham born bass provocateur has been in demand across the country for sometime. her DJing skills seems to know no bounds as she forges through sets brimming with no-holds-barred bounceability.
With a further two arenas featuring tech house and old skool garage and retro house classics, all the ingredients are in place for a Halloween splurge to leave other nights green with envy.
