Liverpool's bustling student life has been a breeding ground for the city's club culture for pretty much the entirity of its existence, feeding not only a sea of attendees but also crafting plenty of the creative forces behind it - Chibuku Shake Shake was famously started by four students in a room above a pub. Liverpool University has even boatsed its own official society dedicated to electornic music, with LDMS active for a decade as a fulcrum for students and the general public to indulge in their passions for the music.
They've ran open deck nights, student radio shows and spawned a sea of clubnights, creating midweek riots of dance music that have cleverly teared the more discerning student away from the 'cheese and clunge' combinations the city heaves with, not to mention ensuring one or two sickies from the supposed working population. They turn two in October, and have lined up a cracker of a showcase with a bulging line-up to celebrate.
First up on the bill is Sante, head honcho of A votre and an in demand producer and DJ. The Berlin based creative force has been responsible for some of the most acerbic deep house cuts to have coursed through dancefloors in recent times. Getting support from the likes of Steve Lawler, Sven Vath and Loco Dice to name a few, Sante’s tenure as a tech house producer to watch is set to continue. With his recent release on Sven Vath's Cocoon label getting such heavy rotation over the last few months, expect to witness a DJ right at the top of his game.

Joining Sante will be Crosstown Rebels favourite Gavin Herlihy. Now something of a regular feature of the underground techno and house scene, his numerous releases for labels such as Cocoon, Cadenza, Get Physical, Leftroom, Culprit, and of course Crosstown Rebels have seen him become one of most respected and eclectic producers across the electronic spectrum. With his tracks reaching the record bags of Seth Troxler, Ricardo Villalobos, Jamie Jones and Pete Tong, Gavin’s reputation continues to be cemented as a cutting edge producer, hooked on beaming the future to rave hungry audiences around the world.

Rounding off the impressive line up is Butler & Murt, two of Leeds brightest stars of house music. Currently signed to Darius Syrossian’s Breakout Audio as well as offloading some beastly records on their own iDiOSYNC imprint, the two have established themselves as up and coming artists to watch out for.

Having already received major support from the likes of Steve Lawler, Jamie Jones, Darius Syrossian, Huxley, Demi, Saso Recyd and Marcus Fenton, Butler & Murt are undoubtedly destined for great things.
