What a run Sankeys has had. The phoenix that rose from the flames in the Autumn of 2013, the club has quickly become as well loved and revered as ever, bringing the likes of Marcel Dettman, MoodyMann, Appollonia, Steve Lawler and many more to the table, as well as resuscitating the much loved Tribal Sessions with resident Darius Syrossian at the helm.
With the summer approaching the club will be bowing out for a few months with a double header of parties celebrating their form. The first on Friday 13th June sees the charge led by one of the new stars of the Sankeys revolution both at home in Manchester and in Ibiza, with Amine Edge & Dance at the helm.
The French duo’s brand of hip hop infused dance music has seen them pioneer the term ghetto house, lacing fat basslines with the swagger of hip hop and R&B to devastating effect (as evidenced by their re-rub of Frank Ocean’s ‘Lost’ above).
Their, and that of their label CUFF's, stock and standing couldn’t be higher, with them holding their own residency at Sankeys Ibiza as well in the summer.
They’ll be joined on the night by Scandinavian deep doyen Finnebassen, Sirius Hood from their CUFF collective and Dale Howard. Head here for ticket information.
