The Horrors DJ Set @ Night & Day Cafe

One of Manchester's favourite live music venues joins forces with Interstellar Overdrive to bring gothic post punk heroes The Horrors to the Northern Quarter for an all night DJ Set, showcasing some of their favourite sounds. Having been announced as one of the major players to be headlining BBC Radio 6 Music's inaugural festival at Victoria Warehouse on Feb 28th, the irreverent indie quintet will be providing an exclusive soundtrack at Night & Day for an unofficial, intimate after party.

With a record collection that will make any vinyl enthusiast green with envy, the Southend based five piece will be unleashing some of their favourite slabs of wax for a soiree crammed with darkly addictive sonic wares. Their fourth album is set for release later this year, and alongside their records they've developed a renown for their faultless taste in music and ability to throw a party. After over a decade of taking their vinyl collection round popular clubs and venues as well as creating their own scene in the capital, The Horrors will appear at Night & Day for the very first time.

The band itself met through their shared passion for vinyl and obscure music and have time and again proven their dexterity behind a pair of 1210s, with their passion spilling over into the dance floor. Expect to hear everything from J Dilla to Roxy Music, Seahawks to Stereolab, Tame Impala to The Beach Boys, as they route through their record boxes for a barrage of hidden gems and discerning classics.
