Girls Don’t Sync is defined by the huge variety of music they spin, their effortless chemistry, and their drive to make electronic scenes as inclusive as possible.
The group stepped on the scene in the summer of 2021 and has gone from selling out packed-out local venues to commanding crowds at Boomtown, Glastonbury, Parklife, Manchester’s Warehouse Project, and Berghain in Berlin. With a winning cocktail of feel-good vibes, a diverse collection of tracks, and insanely infectious energy, Girls Don’t Sync are set to take over the world.
Ahead of their upcoming performance at Highest Point Festival this year, we had a look at their already incredible career.

The all-female DJ, producer, and curator collective based in Liverpool is made up of Matty Chiabi, Sophia Violet, G33, and Hannah Lynch, all from the UK who met in Liverpool, with three members attending uni there and one visiting the city regularly.
The group of skilled best friends quickly rose to immense prominence following their viral set at Mixmag’s Lab, which became one of the most watched of the year. You can check it out further down in this article.
Bringing so many musical influences to the table, Girls Don’t Sync offers cuts of house, dancehall, UKG, bass, amapiano, remixed chart tracks, afrobeat, and so much more to every performance, which the group credits to their heritage and upbringing. Engaging through and through, it’s not uncommon to see them standing on tables, jumping, screaming, gun fingers high, and hyping each other and the crowd up as they perform back to back.
Bringing inclusivity to dancefloors across the world, the four have been dedicated to the cause from the very beginning, ensuring they booked other emerging female DJs as support acts. The group even pulled out of an event when they found out they were the only women performing that night.
Three members of the group now hold DJ lessons in hopes of making the space safer for women and people of colour after hearing about young girls struggling to find places where they can learn.
Last year, Girls Don’t Sync took home the DJ Mags Breakthrough DJ award, beating some impressive names including Mozey, Fleur Shore, and TAAHLIAH. The group also announced a brand new bi-weekly live-streamed series on Amazon Music UK to showcase the best in UK dance music and culture.
The group recently concluded their debut UK tour across Liverpool, London, Sheffield, Bristol, Brighton, Leeds, and Manchester, and now have a string of festival performances to look forward to in 2023. They’re only just getting started and we can’t wait to see how much they continue to grow.
