London indie outfit White Lies, will showcase new material from their forthcoming fifth album, aptly named Five at Liverpool’s Eventim Olympia on Thursday 7th February.
The band shot to fame with a number one album, To Lose My Life back in 2009 after being tipped on the BBC’s Sound of 2009 and winning the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award in the same year. The album featured the hit singles ‘Death’ and ‘Farewell to the Fairground’, drawing comparisons with the dark angular guitars of Joy Division, Interpol and The Editors.
Their latest offering, a follow up to 2016's Friends, had been kept under wraps however, after lead singer Harry McVeigh teased that it will be a departure from the vibrant synth pop of their last endeavour and a return to heavy guitars with a dreamy outlook we have now been given our first taste of new White Lies, in the form of seven minute opus 'Time To Give' (listen above).
White Lies Liverpool tickets will be available below from Friday 21st September at 9am. In the meantime, you can set-up an event reminder for when the tickets go on sale.
