Review of Wilkswood Reggae Festival 2024
It a niche event . Small and intimate .The Dj are enthusiastic. The music is dub mix .
The atmosphere is beautiful with good people.
The kids events is simple ( back to basics) ie blowing bubbles ,hammer throwing -my 8 year old loved it , plus running around the large fields -he was free which he really enjoyed .
Attendees are young , middleaged and older .You need to climb a semi steep hill .A good idea would be to offer at optional cost the optiin to drive your car to your tent area and then drive back to the parking area -not a deal breaker so bring your trolley!
One negative point is the £3.00 charge for a hot delicious shower .i would prefer that the offer free communal showers instead.

Review of Wilkswood Reggae Festival 2024
Had a cracking time. We got stuck coming out due to the rain but had help so we was able to get out a different exit. Portaloos could have been cleaned more often and toilet rolls replaced but we really enjoyed ourselves. I think I need a new knee from all the dancing I did cos the music was absolutely banging loved it!!

Review of Wilkswood Reggae Festival 2024
The music was great and the venue was excellent. Thw worst thing about the whole weekend was the security. They dressed like the border patrol and when a smile would have resolved an issue I think they would have preferred to use force. Walking around with handcuffs was ominous. They were the only thing that gave the event a bad vibe. They did not seem to like/ understand the culture either.
The schedule for the musicians was very good and the general organisation was brilliant

Review of Wilkswood Reggae Festival 2024
Great little festival in a farmyard, so covered areas, barns and a courtyard area with nice, but limited food stalls and a few other stalls. Was annoyed by security saying I couldn't take crisps and dips into the arena. I can understand alcohol, but we had toddlers with us and I have a food intolerance. So I think they need to rethink their policy. Too few toilets and showers and no stand alone urinals , which I think is shortsighted as the loos by the main area suffered as a consequence. But all in all a good dub/raga/reggae vibe ?'?

Review of Wilkswood Reggae Festival 2024
Great event as usual however a few things could be improved. Toilets this year we're pretty good but as usual the Toilet rolls don't get replenished enough. The beers were really dissapointing this year! last year's were great but this year very poor. After a lifetime of drinking beer/IPA I had to resort to the lager rather than drink the beer. please don't buy that for next year. food choices were better than last year which was good. Bangmix stage events were great, really good vibe there. Jonny Clarke was excellent.
Following the rain straw should have been put down at the entrance, it was seriously dangerous with little control of your vehicle when emerging onto the road. Could have been a serious road accident. The grass on arrival was seriously long! Overall though a great event, well done again. I'll be back again for my 7th time!
