Review of Squidsoup Presents: Christian Löffler Live
It was billed as on over 14s event but we were two families with two 16 year olds. We were told they weren’t allowed in and so had to wait until we found the ticket eventually and showed the doorman that they was apparently age appropriate. However, once inside I think that was clearly a mistake as I would guess that many people were fairly high on either drink or other. I don’t have a massive problem with that other than our boys clearly felt out of place and it was not something I would’ve spent £50 for them to go to. One of the light installations was not on, the other was on but not moving and pulsating as it had been when we came to see the installation on an earlier date. The main dance area lights were on long hanging tendrils, nice but that’s about it. The act played from the back of the room behind most of the audience and on stage were two bright lights shining at everyone. It felt like an event where the main act had forgotten to come on. I had high hopes that went unfulfilled sadly.
