Review of Feast On 2024
It's a good idea but the tickets were too expensive, especially as the food prices were also at the higher end (due to the quality of the vendors) but ALL THE FOOD SOLD OUT!!
The food festival that was at little stoke last year had cheaper tickets, loads of free tasters and Blue headlining!!! Much better value for money

The start of our experience was good, but a lot of things need improving for next time. DJ and live music stage were too close together, a lot of the food was sold out by 3.30pm, so we had to actually leave the venue to get food as we were hungry. Having no food at a food festival is a bit ironic. Lines were way too long for some vendors. There were no taps to wash hands after using the bathrooms and also no water points to fill up your water bottle, which is dangerous as the weather was so hot. The bins were way too full of rubbish and nobody was cleaning it up, just piles of rubbish everywhere. The cost of the ticket was not worth what we experienced and overall disappointed as was looking forward to the event.

The festival itself was great. My main criticism was the level of noise generated by having 3 different pieces of music being played all at the same time. The main stage, DJ tent and the fun fair ride all played loud music at the same time. It meant you couldn't hear much of the demo tent.

I just didn't feel the event was worth the money. I thought as it was a ticketed event, there would be a few freebies to try (even just little taster pots like you see places at markets do) but no. There was a minimum of 45 minute waits at most food stalls that were then charging a fortune for small portions. We only ended up getting a burger each from Danny's Burgers and some jerk chicken from the Jamaican stand and that totalled 1:45hr worth of queuing! A lot of the food stalls had closed by the time we got there (which was during our slotted time by the way) so couldn't buy anything from them. Pipp & Co for example! A jug of pimms was £45!!!!!! You got £5 back if you took the jug back but that was an insane price. The fresh produce market was really quite small as well and there wasn't an awful lot on offer, although the stalls that were there were lovely!
The vibe as a whole was really good, good music, nice crowd, and we were fortunate that the weather was great so that probably made for a bigger turn out but I just thought there would be more on offer.
Personally, you'd be better off going down to Frome independent Market which is free to go to, it has music, food and drink stalls, and way more market stalls to buy from! Plus queues are way shorter.
I appreciate it was the first one so there will be teething problems but I wouldn't attend again.
One guy behind us in the queue said "it would be quicker to leave, go to the restaurant, get the food, and come back, before you even got to the front of queue." Says it all really...
