Review of Soul Town Festival 2024
We are really disappointed especially on Sunday show.. Maxi Priest arrived late and his performance was brief and poor.
Earth Wind and Fire arrived late, did three tracks and left the stage. I and my friends were truly disappointed in so many way.

could you please arrange for the weather they had on Sunday to apply to the Saturday as well please :) Inside venue drinks and food too expensive, especially if you are a family. Toilet areas need more checking from mid-afternoon onwards please

VIP is not worth the money and doesn't reflect vip status. Too crowded, not enough toilets, not enough seating, too little drink choices.
Issues with stage sound and took too long for turnaround. Artist had issues with the monitors and sound.

I would have given overall 5 stars if there hadn't been such long intervals between acts. Earth, Wind & Fire, the main event, were supposed to come on at 8pm and didn't come up until about 8.35 and then stopped playing at 8.55 - a real let down and no apology for being so late!

Festival was good but massive increase on the amount of people under the influence of drugs & saw a lot of people selling/taking drugs. The festival has now become almost split in two halves, the soul part with the older crowd & the dance tent area with the young druggie crowd which is a bit disappointing. I think there should be more soul tents/ areas rather than dance to really call it soultown. Also on the adults only over 21 day, there was a woman who had 3 children under 10 (all with adult tickets!) who got let through which frankly is ridiculous, we go to the adults only day specifically to not have to deal with children so it's disappointing she wasn't challenged.

4th time Iv'e attended and I certainly see how the management have taken on the feedback over the years!! Great idea to have a no chair and blanket policy as there's plenty more room to dance now. My only gripe is many of the soul artists on the main stage sing a lot of sings with a house music beat when signing live, I feel this is a real shame as I want to hear as close to the original as possible! The DJ (between acts) also plays too much house beats! Stick to the originals my friend and leave the house beats to the youths on the other stage :)
