Review of Solfest 2004-2024
Everything was great except for the weather it rained most of the time and very windy , the first day Thursday, was cancelled due to stormy weather, but Friday and Saturday made up for it. The music atmosphere was amazing even though it was cold, windy and rainy, interaction from the live performers to the crowds watching and dancing was lovely, there were lots of stalls that served hot or cold drinks and food and other stalls that sold fancy garments and we were never short of alcohol π. The kids tent had lots of entertainment for the children and some activities to get involved wih, and a little play area outside. A big shout out to the circus crew they were very entertaining and very polite and amazing if it wasn't for them on washout sunday , it would have been a really bad day as all the live acts were cancelled during the day but later on in some of the tent venues came alive again, if it wasn't for the bad weather it would have been outstanding but I still enjoyed myself had a great time, and so did many others festival goers, and will want to be back next year ?'?

Fab location looking over the Solway Firth
Weather was awful which caused a muddy bog
Ticket collection far away
From entry point
Poor signposting
Programme overpriced with times for bands. No other way of finding out who and where bands were on.
Seemed a bit chaotic at times when bands were due to play. 2 power cuts in the Drystone tent βΊοΈ very entertaining
Our favourite tent was TARNS DUBZ atmosphere music lights really cool π
Coffee Piagglo truck π» great friendly service and scrumptious coffee and hot chocolate π«
Mixed feelings about the whole event tbh.
Layout could be better

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
This was our first time at Solfest and it was the 20th anniversary.
I do not know how this festival has passed me by and I've never really took notice of it till last year.
The festival was amazing, it looks good and I love how they have stages with bars in them. All acts were brilliant, people were great, we had an amazing weekend.
Unfortunately the weather was bad with a storm, and our tent collapsed on the Sunday morning so we missed the acts this day by deciding it was time to go home.
Had it not been for the weather we would have stayed till Monday.
The ticket price for the festival was fine, I only marked down ratings on the stars because of the price of food and drink that is having an effect on people, the couple camped next to us left before we did - explaining that they spent a fortune on food.
Only negatives are the price of food and drink, and the weather but the weather can't be helped.
What an absolute brilliant festival, we had a great time with smiles on our faces and love it.
Thank you for making it happen. π©΅π©·π§‘?'??'??'?

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
First timer at SolFest just getting day tickets for Saturday and Sunday. Well laid out - nothing too far away from the main area and plenty of room for campers. Volunteers, staff and security were all fabulous. Really friendly and helpful. Didn't know many of the bands but now some of the line up are new favourites (Colonel Mustard an the Djon 5, Alabama 3, Smoove and Turell amongst them and my already firm favourite SPACE.) The weather sadly meant the main stage had to be closed on Thursday and Sunday but the organisers pulled out the stops and managed to get the headline acts into the Bar Stage on Sunday albeit with slightly shorter sets. It was at least warm, dry and much more intimate in there and room enough for those festival go-ers who had stuck it out. Drinks were a little pricey (not unexpected but good ale) and some of the food stalls better value than others but enough choice for the days I was there. All in all I am already excited for next years line-up and would highly recommend it!

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
Sadly weather was very wet & windy at times so one day cancelled plus other disruptions. Not the organisers fault of course & they did a fantastic job of keeping things going as best they could. When the sun was out the venue is amazing with stunning views.

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
The organisers have to be commended for managing to reschedule events when the extreme weather meant the main stage had to be abandoned. Everything continued well, and the great atmosphere was retained. Well done for that little bit of magic.
