Review of Solfest 2004-2024
Nightmare - terrible pre festival info - no day splits until arrival. Should have been cancelled due to weather - I get that festivals in mid can be fun but there was no escaping it, partial event put on, do way my Motorhome was getting on that site. Toilets constantly fail

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
I cant really comment on the above as in the end we made the very sensible decision not to travel to Solfest. The weather forecast was horrific for the Sunday - torrential rain, cold and windy. I'd already heard from friends about the state of the parking fields and the line up kept being moved later and later due to unsafe stages and the weather. I decided not to travel with my child (we had day tickets only for the Sunday) as it was not going to be an enjoyable day out with stress of parking on the muddy field, being worried about my daughter in the wind and the rain, all my friends were leaving early as they were worried about the weather and the parking field, and the gigs getting later and later as they could only use one stage (others had been closed or were deemed unsafe due to the weather.) There comes a point when surely it is best for everyone to cancel. Unfortunately there was no option to cancel day tickets or a refund for the Sunday despite all of this.

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
Although the weather was absolutely atrocious, the team on site were absolutely amazing.
The effort put in by them deserves special attention. As always there is a criticism. The toilets were neither a sufficient amount or cleaned enough.
Again, thank you to the team.

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
Second year attending Solfest festival, just love it here, always friendly atmosphere and music for everyone to love and enjoy. One of my favourite festivals and I will be back again next year. Despite this year's weather the show went on so well doke to the organisers who made it all happen :)

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
Despite just about the worse the weather could throw at us, the organisers, volunteers, bands and audience made this a great event. Great range of music styles, fantastic artists. Have already booked for next year!

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
Solfest we're really unlucky with the weather this year but the crew worked their socks off to make sure the event happened...Solfest is always a friendly eclectic little festival that puts on well known names and up and coming acts...well worth a visit!

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
Fantastic festival. Even though the weather was horrific we had a brilliant time and saw some excellent acts. Really sad that we had to leave early because our tent got wrecked in the wind. Kudos to the organizers for making the best of a bad weather situation and rearranging everything when unexpected events happened. My only quibble is that there weren't enough toilets in the general camping area. Definitely more needed there because they became unusable quite quickly. I'm hoping to be back again next year, in hopefully better weather to be able to enjoy more!

Review of Solfest 2004-2024
We only went for the Friday as we wanted to be there for the 20-year anniversary. It ended up being a good experience, despite the weather issues the night before.
We were aiming to get there for about 2 pm, but we were stuck in traffic for 2 hours. It's not the festivals fault, but it's still frustrating.
We had decided not to go back again after 2021 as the security wasn't very pleasant, and because of the prices for food and drink. So we thought we would give it a try. The security was really helpful and full of smiles this time round. So that was good. ~£7 a pint ~£10er a food. Not so good considering that you were always allowed to take your own drink onto the site.
Overall. I would recommend this festival. The organisers made the very best of a bad situation and managed to pull it off. So well done. It's just a shame that a lot of the magic that made solfest over the years has lost its sparkle.
