Review of Solfest 2022
Watch "Carry on Camping" when Sid James turns up at the Farmer's campsite and a starts paying a £ for this then that. That's this festival, been coming, on and off since 2003, I now call it it Soulessfest. Enjoy your profit lads, but I won't be back. The parking was crap BTW, the stewards lack any training and basic knowledge of the fest. Palais d phoenix was stinking and fogged with cig smoke. Even after several complaints to stewards.

Review of Solfest 2022
Nice little festival with relaxed vibe but ran out of beer Friday and we werenât allowed to take alcohol in they then began charging £5 for a can of carling or fosters which is a bit cheeky, would have appreciated being able to take in your own cans when they ran out, this put a real damper on our weekend which was a shame ð

Review of Solfest 2022 (Volunteer Tickets)
Solfest is a great event with a lot of lovely people at it. I wouldn't rush to work as a volunteer crew again. While the work itself is enjoyable there was an overall lack of information ie we werent' properly briefed for the roles we were undertaking - no site plan over view or anything like that, so hard to provide basic directions. I also do prefer to be paid for work that I do so it wasn't ideal really to pay a £90 deposit & then have 2 x 10 hour shifts with no break & food arriving at 3pm - after working since 8am? I know there is a huge amount of planning involved in running an event like this & the programme structure worked brilliantly well. It also didn't help that a paid member of security who was on with us did not do a lot to help but kept going on how he was being paid £20 an hour. However we did the best we could given the lack of information we had been given & it is a pleasure to facilitate things well for the paying public. It was also hard that a late change of plan led to a very long route from our crew camp to the main arena. Surely there could have been a more handy side entrance we could have used, without needing to go to the backstage area. I do rate Solfest highly as an event, but next year if I come I would prefer a paid role. I have a range of useful & entertaining skills I would happily provide, subject to the event's requirements/needs.
