Review of Solfest 2017
Absolutely loved Solfest! Would highly recommend for people wanting a chilled-out, relaxed, family-friendly (but still great for people of all ages with no kids) weekend. Very much prefer the large variety of different musical venues, instead of the standard 2-stages approach - more opportunity to stumble upon bands/styles of music we'd not expected. Also really appreciate the low cost for a quality weekend - much better than paying loads for a few bands you've already heard of & a lot of corporate branding!

Review of Solfest 2017
Enjoyed the weekend but having to pay a £4.25 booking fee per ticket seems a bit of a rip off - ended up paying £25 for booking and handling fees for my three tickets which I think is scandalous - not part of the Solfest philosophy that was. I did ask for an explanation (twice) at the time of booking but didn't get a reply.

I just love this festival. There is everything you could possibly want. Colour, diversity, space. Fantastic music and the atmosphere is just the best. There is room to enjoy and express yourself. Not too big but plenty big enough. Love it!!!

Review of Solfest 2017
Have been to Solfest for a number of years now, it is a fantastic venue and the festival has many great qualities. Sadly I think the loss of the bigger 'named' bands has been detrimental for the last two years and the low attendance numbers were evidence of that.
Having a number of stages/tents to wander into at all times of the day and night is fab, bar stage is 100% better, loads for the kids to do, always a place to sit and watch bands, food and drink a plenty, (generally) easy camping.
Sadly this year, on arrival gate staff seemed unaware of the registering procedure, wrist bands hadn't arrived half hr after gate opening time and many of us families were shown onto the noisy field to camp, BUT.. these were minor things compared to the pretty well organised and smoothly run event. Maybe consider at least one crowd puller per day or I fear this festival may not last.

Review of Solfest 2017
Great event and we saw loads of good bands we had never seen or heard about before. However a top line band however aged for the last performance of the night may have brought in a few more punters. The site was kept clean by the many volunteers, but the toilet facilities left a lot to be desired. Some were of such low quality I was quite shocked they meet to days health and higiene standards. There was also not enough of them on the camper van and caravan pitch. One block of mainly none flushable loos was not enough for all the people on that site and the distance from the far corner was a long walk in the middle of the night. I assume I will not be the only one mentioning the toilet issue, as almost everyone I spoke to commented on the state and lack of them.
