Review of Flare Path
Once again TAB lived up to its reputation for quality productions that rival the professional theatres!
Excellent performances throughout, even from one who had stepped in just the week before due to COVID. If one is being super critical, one of the leads could afford to dial it back a bit , but perhaps it’s better too much, than too little.
With the authentic costumes and hair, and mix of RP, dialects, and accents, the social standing of this mixed bunch of characters was made clear.
The appropriately decorated set functioned well despite the size and height limitations of the stage, and the large cast it at times had to accommodate.
In the night I attended there was an intermittent fault with the sound system but thankfully it did not affect the action. (Given that the technical equipment has to be packed away each night, it’s not surprising the occasion gremlin creeps in.)
This group take on both classic and modern plays and are worth checking out regardless of what they are doing.

Review of Flare Path
Very relaxed and homely feel to the venue lent itself to the nature of the theatrical performance and added extra comfort for the event. Staff were very friendly and prices were reasonable. Performance itself was also very moving and well acted.

Review of Send Me No Flowers
TAB doing what they do best. Small cast but very well portrayed characters and accents pretty well maintained throughout. Good light hearted play - great evening’s entertainment as always.

Review of Jeeves & Wooster in \'Perfect Nonsense\'
After more than 18 months unable to experience live theatre, Theatre At Baddow's production of "Perfect Nonsense" was a pure delight. The play is a delicious adaptation of a classic P.G. Wodehouse novel, gloriously faithful to the spirit of the original - also to the characters, events, manners, language and tone of the original. Superb! The cast of three, and indeed the whole production did the play full justice. It made for a rather wonderful evening!
