In previous years ot has been vibrant entertainment and light lasers.
This year was a bit dull and not enjoyed by the children dancing not entertaining and no lasers

Unfortunately the event for me was very uninspiring. There wasn't much music that I could hear, the lights were not very exciting and the dance displays were not explained.

It was so bad a few actors dressed in victorian dresses came out did repeative dancing for 20 minutes and then went in. If we'd of paid I would have wanted a refund. There was no thought gone into the act, such a shame there is so much history in that hallthat could have been put into the act instead of dancing. It's like Chorley Council cannot think of anything new to do they will have the same for Christmas as well.

This was perhaps the worst display I have seen for a long time.
The dancers were barely visible and the sound pathetic.
The hall was poorly lit
Absolutely nothing for children accept overprice toys
What a complete waste of time

Poor sound, the performance wasn't great, food and hot drink stalls were lacking. Reviews from previous years are good hence why we got tickets. This year.... rubbish!

This year It wasn't as good as it normally is, the dancers came out of the hall and danced for a bit in front of the hall, then they went onto the grass area to the furthest point away from most of the crowd and did 2 performances there. I asked a couple of the team before the event where they would be performing as my husband was on a mobility scooter so we couldn't be moving around, we ended up seeing the backs of the performers.

Compared to previous illuminated events the performance and lighting was ok but not as impacting and colorfully lit, it was more like a show with druids and just lots of smoke and the sound was very poor you couldn't hear anything. It was great to see all the crowds and a fabulous turn out for the Hall which is looking magnificent, it was very difficult to see any of the performers too, so a lot of people decided to move away as they couldn't see. The organisers and stewards did a fabulous job and the bus service was brilliant.

Music and dance was too dreary. The event has been much better in previous years. Needed more music. You could only see the dancers outside Astley Hall if you were right at the front. Children were bored. Disappointed that the hall wasn’t open as it has been in previous years.

The event was a lot smaller than expected. There were only about 4 stalls and there wasn’t an awful lot of things lit up. The actually show was a real disappointment as we had no idea what was actually happening there were just a group of women doing a strange yoga dance in medieval outfits with nothing to explain the context of what was going on and no music to go with it.
The setting of Astley hall was lovely and I can’t really complain about the event as it was free but it would have been good if we have actually know what the performance was about.
