Review of Matt Philips and the Detroits
Sound system not very good for size of the hall and ditracted from performance. Drinks overpriced. Lights too bright when act on and groups own light too dazzling into audience eyes. Told floor manager about it.....

Review of Matt Philips and the Detroits
We really enjoyed the music and it certainly got most people up dancing. Would definitely go to see them again.
Regarding the venue it would have been better if we could have been sat round tables. All the chairs were in rows as in a theatre, so if you wanted to dance you had to leave your drink under your chair. On a positive note though it was a decent sized area for dancing.

Review of Beauty & the Beast
The performance was good but you couldn’t hear what the performers were saying/singing as the background music drowned it out, it was all very muffled, really was a shame as it’s an amazing venue.

Review of Beauty & the Beast
Unfortunately, the sound system let the poor crew down. We couldn’t understand a word they were saying. It was so muffled. A few people walked out. Shame as the actors did a great job

Review of Aladdin
No atmosphere during the first half, couldn’t hear any of the actors so I did not have a clue what was happening, over half of the audience left after first half, I still don’t know why there was dancing skeletons or a washing machine or how it was related to Aladdin in any sort of way, so I don’t know how the children would.
As for the some of the other comments calling the children feral, in my opinion they created their own entertainment and were just trying to enjoy an already bad show.

Review of Aladdin
Sound was a bit poor in all honesty as the only Mic that worked properly was the fairy. Despite only being on 5th row we couldn't hear a lot of dialogue or songs. This perhaps caused some lacklustre from the audience. We didn't know all but 1 of the songs sung but that's likely on us as we don't like chart type music. Widow Tw**ky was great fun and best performance on the day. Theres no visual set other than a curtain and washing machine. Kids loved it when characters walked around the room and they could follow.
A lot of the audience left at the interval but the 2nd part was actually more entertaining imho perhaps as the kids all joined together at the front of the stage and there was a bit of interaction with the performers.
Wasn't in any way up to the standard of Chorley Theatre etc. But, for the money, kids were happy enoygh and that'll do me.

Review of Aladdin
We struggled to hear what they were saying, the microphones were loud enough just for some reason it wasn't very clear, particularly the males.
There wasn't enough crowd interaction in the first half, this improved in the second half but a lot of people had already left by then!
