Review of Betley Bonfire 2022
First visit and was very impressed with the size of the bonfire! After being to fireworks only displays for a number of years we were all happy to see a real bonfire again. Never seen one so big before though. Fireworks were good too and lasted a reasonable 20 mins. Food and entertainment looked good but didn't have any ourselves. The only downside was finding parking, although we didn't fare too bad. The venue was packed with people and the roads also. Created a good atmosphere in the venue but a bit congested outside.

Review of Betley Bonfire 2022
Well Yes it took over 90 mins to get in from Sandbach leaving at 1745 so yes i could and will go earlier Yes it took over an hour to get out. Yes its not cheap but when i work out the cost of what i spent on entrance rides food and drink for my family of four it amounted to £120 now the event the fireworks the fire are second to none the cost.... well lets put it this way local supermarkets were charging £75 pound for a garden 90 shot fire works that last approx 50 seconds so the cost is a real no brainer. It actually costs less to have a Great time at Betley then in my garden, and four quid on hook a duck to see my Kids smile at winning a £1 toy is worth every penny and i stayed until 30mins after fire works ended got some hot drinks got 20 quid worth of pick n mix headed to the car for my 1hr wait to get out drank my drinks listening to my in car entertainment system and making the kids laugh with some horrendous sing a longs whilst they munched some toffees. Its a once a year event and worth the queue One way or another it creates Memory's for years to come not for the moaners but m family is a happy family and i will always visit this event. To all the organisers Keep up the Hard and Great works

Review of Betley Bonfire 2022
This was a very poor experience all round. Firstly, we joined the (crawling) queue for the car park while we were approx. 1.5 miles away. It took over an hour to get into the car park by 19:55. We found a really good spot to watch the fireworks and they started about 20:25. They were 'okay'. By 20:51 we were back in the car and now in another queue to get our of the car park. Which again took over an hour. All the Marshalls we had seen on entry had now gone. People were taking up marker posts and so we ended up with about ten cars on each side trying to force their way into the queue. This was our first visit to Betley fireworks and I suppose the marketing strapline should have warned us: The Largest Firework Display In The NW but should have said In One Of The Smallest Villages In The NW. first and last time for us.

Waiting queued for hours to get in the car park and then when it came to leaving we sat in our car in the field for 40 mins not even moving, whilst they emptied the first field of cars!! Disgraceful organisation. You need more than one entrance/exit!!! Will not return next year.

Review of Betley Bonfire 2022
Couldn’t help but feeling the delay to the fireworks was purely down to the venue worried about the fact that people would leave after they had finished and not spend any more money- Fireworks due at 8 pm had to leave 8 40 without seeing a single rocket!
Disappointed!

Review of Betley Bonfire 2022
The event was 10/10 except the portaloos as you couldn’t see when inside with the door shut due to it being dark. Also no seating e.g. benches.
Apart from the previous comments it’s a great event and I will attend next year!!!

Review of Betley Bonfire 2022
Much loved event. Crazy amount of people. Good experience, people complaining about ques going in and out. Completely unreasonable complains got to think about of the amount of people 12000 or so people of course there will be line up ques. Timed arriving and leaving perfectly no mither. Have young baby who was kicking off at time of firework delay so watchd them from carpark. No worries son was warmer in car.

Rip Off
On site prices announced as £13/adult and £7 for kids. We have arrived at 20:10 just for the fireworks and were charged £15/person adult or child. No ticket or receipt given to show how much we have paid. 2 adults and 2 kids £60. This is disgraceful.

Review of Betley Bonfire 2022
Car park was the main problem. Not enough space for 10,000 people. Leaving was awful. Totally ruined the whole experience.
For context, the fireworks lasted 17 minutes which were great. Leaving the event on the field on which it was based took 1 hour and 20 minutes! Terrible experience.

The only criticism I have would be the parking situation, it took us over an hour to get out, the grounds need to be better prepared but as a whole it is a great night out and never fails to deliver

Review of Betley Bonfire 2022
The fireworks and bonfire were great, but the queues to get to the venue and in and out of the carpark were horrendous. Sat without moving in the carpark for 45 minutes, 1 hour to get off the carpark and it was like a mud bath with cars skidding on the mud. Need to organise a separate exit for pedestrians to avoid the constant stoppages to the traffic to allow people to cross.
