Review of Betley Bonfire 2022

Would not go again. Very very poor traffic flow and traffic management. Spent longer queuing up on all the side roads queuing to get in, than we did at the venue itself. So will not go back.

Fireworks and bonfire were good though but the traffic does need to flow better. Slow is understandable but we barely moved for 1 hour. That's not ok.

Great bonfire & fireworks. Fab atmosphere & Organisation Brill.
Only disappointment was the fair, £5 per ride per person when you have paid to get in is scandalous. With two older boys this made it a really expensive event. Fireworks were delayed by half an hour.

Prices on the fair horrendous for such a small ride.
Car park coming out us horrendous no organisation terrible . Took us an hour and a half go get out . This is the main thing that would stop me going again. .

All ok apart from the coordination of the traffic flows and prices of the rides, which were very short. After waiting an hour in the car, we ended up parking on a grass verge about 0.5 mile away. Terrible traffic management.

Event felt massively over capacity, far to many people allowed to purchase tickets. Car park captivity is great, but having only one way in and one way out means traffic bottle necks and stands still in every direction to and from the venue. The amount of rides and food stalls were simply not enough for the amount of people, long cues everywhere. Moving around was difficult, I wouldn’t want to take young children. Staff were pleasant and the firework display was brilliant as was the bonfire.

Terribly organised. Took 2 hours of queing in the car to access the carpark, which means we almost missed the fireworks. Also took similar time to exit the carpark.

Wouldn't attend this event again after that, horrendous.

Fireworks were brilliant and the huge bonfire really gave it that thrilling atmosphere. Lots of space to allow an excellent view of the main event. The multitude of food stores meant everyone was happy and thrill seekers would enjoy the rides though we chose not to. Be prepared for lots of mud, queues to get into the car park and a very lengthy wait to get out again!

Fantastic event and great atmosphere. A little pricey so maybe some family discounts for rides could be a thing as it's quite expensive for a family of 6.

Bonfire and fireworks great couldn’t hear music enough just lots of bass? unfortunately the queuing was definitely a put off we Left for a 10 min journey at 6 got in the venue at 7.50 and leaving the venue at 9pm got home at 11.30. Cost me £50 fir family of 4 which dont mind paying as a treat but the queuing was a real put off I’m afraid 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sorry not going back 😏

Price for rides and food is very steep. Also we didn’t k ow when the fireworks were gona b set off as we were on a fair ride an there was no announcement in the fair area. It was well organised but there needed to be more police or stewards walking around keeping an eye on things.

They didn't keep too the timetable of fireworks it said 8pm but they didn't start 8.30pm so was disappointed.

being stuck for a hour and a half to leave the car park is enough to stop anyone going again.

Although parking was available, some cars near us slid and got stuck in the mud. A couple briefly lost control and nicked each other. This exacerbated traffic and seemed potentially dangerous. Apart from unease with parking, the event itself was good fun and bonfire was lovely.

was a very good event and enjoyed my time there, only bad ish thing i would say is the fact that most of the places were cash only and only have a limited amount of cash with me and the price of some of the rides didn’t seem right and the music could of been louder when fireworks were going off. but apart from that it was a great time and me and my family throughly enjoyed our time there. can’t wait to go again next year.

Watched two fights/arguments break out and nothing done about it. Far too overcrowded and not under control.
