Review of Knockengorroch World Ceilidh 2018
Knockengorroch Festival, 2018. The venue is Perfect, all the Staff, including the Security Staff, are really friendly, and make the whole atmosphere not only relaxed but a place to feel secure and safe.
The main bar stage was just ok at night and after the main stage closed, but did lack the usual stomping good sounds and atmosphere that bands such as The John Langan Band provide. I am not criticising, as I do realise everyone has their own taste, perhaps others may have noticed it was a tad quieter this year. My friend who has come with me to every Knockengorroch said the bar stage felt a bit like Pontins this year and I felt he was correct. It appeared to be an open stage with no referee, with one guy making awful jokes, seemingly swearing with every line and innuendo's galore (it was hard to tell as he was shouting throughout) that with a bar with many kids in it. He to me, was not of Knockengorroch Festival entertainment standard. The whole open stage thing felt bazaar.
Having said that, it was a blip on a record of years of Great Knockengorroch Festivals. In my previous review I mentioned to stick with Knockengorroch's Festival Roots. Don't change a recipe that has worked for so long, and Knockengorroch should remain a Top Festival for many people for life.

Review of Knockengorroch World Ceilidh 2018
Knockengorroch is without doubt one of the most relaxed and friendly festivals I've ever been to. During the day we walked along the river bank next to the campsite and found big swimming pools to cool off in and rid ourselves of our hangovers. The variety of music meant there was something for everyone to enjoy (and pretty much everything was enjoyed by everyone in our group). The prices were pretty reasonable for beer (about £4 for a pint) which is what you pay in city centre Edinburgh. The food was a little bit more pricey but a lot cheaper than other festivals I have been to. By the end of the weekend we couldn't believe that 5 days had passed and wanted to stay in the Knock vibe forever.

Review of Knockengorroch World Ceilidh 2018
An eclectic mix of cultural music and good company throughout the whole time.
We arrived Thursday just before midnight and didn’t have the best pitch up. Would recommend traveling and pitching the day before, in the day time. It’s off the beaten track for sure. In a small pop up community. Loved being back to nature, by the river and the musical talent was simply a joy to listen to!
All in all, it was a Scottish delight!
