Review of Hogmanay- Latin Connection (Boteco Edinburgh)

The event itself was good, but we were surprised by a security guard who stopped us from dancing funk in a Brazilian funk party. The way we were treated by the security team and even by the organizer, who after hearing us did nothing, was unacceptable. I couldn't even know the name of the security guard who treated us badly, because when I asked the answer was "that's none of your business". The owner of the place and of the event should review the team they are working with. Disappointing, in Brazil we don't have this.

Overall it was good,but I think there should be more fast paced music in the DJ mix. Also, the venue is a bit small so lots of people bumping into each other which is annoying.

Wonderful Hogmanay entertainment - great atmosphere, friendly staff, wonderful dancers (but not everyone there is an expert salsa dancer, thank goodness). The highlight was the troupe of Samba dancers who came in in full regalia - headdresses, sparkly bikini style suits - at midnight, stunning girls all three, and danced their socks off - except they certainly weren't wearing socks.
