Review of Monkey Barrel Comedy\'s Big Friday Show

Well all I can say from walking in the door to leaving was brilliant, the staff were friendly and amazing, the acts were brilliant and I laughed from start to finish. I know alternative comedy's not for everyone but if you like it this is the place to come. Only been open 5 weeks and the venue is small but just adds to the character but next time we're up I'm definitely going again and by then the upstairs will be finished.

I'll start by saying the headliner and the MC were great. One woman however was picked on for her appearance for no reason and was actually reduced to tears by a comedian that wasn't that funny to begin with. I can understand comics going after hecklers, or people causing disturbance in the audience, but I thought this kind of vindictive audience abuse was a thing of the past. Steer clear if you don't like being bullied.
